New Hanover County establishes comprehensive zoning regulations for the unincorporated areas of the county and provides the administration, enforcement, amendment or repealing thereof, in accordance with the provisions of North Carolina General Statutes.

 

The Planning Board meets the first Thursday of each month beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Assembly Room of the historic County Courthouse located at 24 North Third Street in downtown Wilmington.  Rezonings, Special Use Permits, and Zoning Ordinance Text Amendments are subject to public hearings and citizens are welcome to attend these meetings.  For more information on upcoming Rezoning and Special Use Permit petitions, please click on the links below.
