On May 11, 2023, the federal Public Health Emergency declaration for the COVID-19 pandemic ended and changed the way data sources and reporting can be shared. As a result, the New Hanover County COVID-19 dashboard is no longer available.
The CDC and NCDHHS will continue to monitor COVID-19 impacts and metrics, and you can find the most up-to-date community information via the links below.
New Hanover County launched a variety of financial aid and COVID-19 Relief Programs (PDF) utilizing American Rescue Plan funds in response to the needs of our community. A $4.5 million grant program for businesses, established in collaboration with the city, and a $700,000 grant program for nonprofits, were established in the summer of 2021. Applications for both grant programs have now closed.
Hospitalizations: Hospitalization data is provided and updated by the NC Department of Health and Human Services and the CDC.
Testing Data: COVID-19 testing data is provided by the NC Department of Health and Human Services and is updated on their dashboard. Additionally, you can see statewide information about testing, hospitalizations, outbreaks and clusters, and more on the NCDHHS dashboard.
