Support Services Division

The Support Services Division provides assistance to the Sheriff's Office and the citizens of New Hanover County. The Division consists of the Animal Services Unit, Accreditation, Crime Awareness and Prevention Unit, Grants, Honor Guard, Logistics, School Crossing Guards, Tactical Flight Officer assigned to the SABLE program and the Sheriff's Office Range.

The Support Services Division also oversees the Sheriff's Office Chaplain's, VIPR program and is responsible for coordinating the Sheriff's Citizens Academy. The symbol for this Division is a set of columns that show each individual unit representing a pillar to support the day-to-day operations of the Sheriff's Office.
