NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – Beginning December 1, the Pandemic Operations Call Center will be available at a new number. Community members needing more details about vaccines, boosters, at-home testing kits and other COVID-related information should call 910-798-6601.
“When our COVID-19 response started, New Hanover County saw the importance of keeping the community updated and informed, and that commitment remains unchanged,” said Pandemic Operations Manager Jon Campbell. “When the call center was first established, our Emergency Management and Communications departments helped oversee it through a dedicated phone line that is typically used for emergency situations. Now, with the Pandemic Operations Center in place, we are setting up a permanently dedicated call center number here at our facility that will ensure we are available to continue answering questions about COVID-19, vaccines, boosters and anything we may encounter in the future.”
The Pandemic Operations Call Center is available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. by calling 910-798-6601. Over the coming weeks, if someone calls the previous phone number, they will hear a recorded message and be directed to the new number.
Initial vaccines and boosters are available each week on a walk-in basis at the Pandemic Operations Center (1507 Greenfield Street) from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Friday, and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Thursday. Members of the community are also encouraged to pick up free at-home tests and masks during operating hours at 1507 Greenfield Street in Wilmington.
